EXCLUSIVE: Franco Porporino Jr., who helped reboot American Chopper for the Discovery Channel, has signed a first-look unscripted TV deal with Lionsgate-owned Pilgrim Media Group.
The Wicked Tuna producer will work with Porporino Jr. to develop and produce unscripted series across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms through his Kiss Fly Productions banner.
Hoffman Family Gold
Hoffman Family Gold was produced by Lionsgate's Pilgrim Media Group, with Craig Piligian, Mike Nichols and Franco Porporino Jr. as executive producers. Michael Gara is executive producer for the Discovery Channel, along with coordinating producer Greg Wolf.
Rapper Rick Ross to Headline Fronzaglia Family Docuseries from Half Yard Productions

EXCLUSIVE: Hip hop artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross is partnering with Half Yard Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, on a docuseries centered on New Jersey’s Fronzaglia family, in which Ross also would star. The project is the first for Ross under his recently launched Lucky Bastard Media Corp. production company.
The cast were brought to Half Yard’s attention by reality TV producer Franco Porporino Jr. (American Chopper, Live Rescue, Live PD) who is an Executive Producer on the project.

American Chopper executive producer Franco Porporino Jr. is bringing the life of the highly decorated DEA undercover police officer Jerry Speziale to the small screen RadarOnline.com exclusively learned.
The true crime series, in pre-production with Tent City Productions/Fremantle Media, will focus on the life of Speziale and will include dramatic reenactments of some of his most famous cases, including the one where he helped take down the Cali Drug Cartel.
Porporino is also a co-producer with Tent City Productions and currently in production on the story of Kevin Keith of Crestline Ohio, who was wrongfully convicted for murder 25 years ago. Ansaldi, Porporino and Tent City Productions are working with topHollywood celebrities who are interested in executive producing the story and bringing awareness to the issue of Keith’s possible wrongful conviction.
